Devra Davis is Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. A National Book Award Finalist for When Smoke Ran Like Water: Tales of Environmental Deception and the Battle Against Pollution (Basic Books, 2004), she has written more than 170 scientific publications and edited 11 books. Davis has held advisory roles in national and international agencies including the World Health Organization, and has received numerous awards for her work in environmental health. Her book is The Secret History of the War on Cancer.
