Of the ten children born to William and Anna, only four lived to see him reach the White House, and only two lived past forty. Harrison's children died in 1817, 1826, 1830, 1838, 1839, and 1840. But one of them, Whig Congressman John Scott Harrison, was the father of Benjamin Harrison, who would become America's twenty-third President in 1889.
