1954 State of the Union

On January 7, 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower, at podium, delivered his State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress. In his first such address since the end of the Korean War, the President stated that, “…there is no end to America's forward road; there is no obstacle on it she will not surmount in her march toward a lasting peace in a free and prosperous world.”
