Armistice Day Speech

On November 11, 1941, Armistice Day, President Franklin Roosevelt gave a speech at Arlington National Cemetery to commemorate the armistice between the Germans and the Allied Powers at the end of the First World War. The speech was given less than a month before the United States was pulled into World War II after the Japanese attacked the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor.
