Eleanor Roosevelt Voting

First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt voted for her husband’s presidential reelection in their hometown of Hyde Park, New York in November 1936. Eleanor Roosevelt was the most active First Lady in American history; she traveled internationally, made radio addresses, and wrote a daily column. She was also a devoted political advocate for many underprivileged groups, including women, the impoverished, and African Americans.
