Grace Coolidge had a number of restrictions placed on her public appearances and image by her husband, President Calvin Coolidge. Despite this, the First Lady was tremendously popular with the American people. She was known for her love of sports, enjoyment of fashion, interest in Hollywood celebrities, and composure following the death of her son.
