Inauguration Day of Calvin Coolidge

On March 4, 1925, Calvin Coolidge, left, along with his wife, Grace, and Senator Charles Curtis of Kansas, rode to the U.S. Capitol to be sworn in for the second time as the 30th President of the United States.  After ascending from the vice presidency under President Warren Harding, Coolidge won the office in his own right in 1924 with 382 electoral votes to Democrat John Davis’s 136.
