Johnson Family Watching Election Returns

On November 3, 1964, President Lyndon Johnson, far right, watched election returns with his family in Texas. Johnson first became President following President John Kennedy's 1963 assassination. The next year, Johnson won a decisive victory with 486 electoral votes to Republican Barry Goldwater's 52. LBJ Library photo by Cecil Stoughton.
