In June 1992, President George H. W. Bush, right, and Mrs. Barbara Bush, left, toured the first popularly elected President of Russia, Boris Yeltsin, center, around the White House grounds.  Although Yeltsin's administration was troubled, his visit to the United States represented the commitment of the two nations to develop healthy diplomatic relations following the end of the Cold War.
