President Clinton Taking Oath of Office in 1997
In 1996, President Bill Clinton was reelected for a second term at the White House. Although he had faced a series of failures in his domestic and foreign policies during his first term, he was able to engineer an impressive comeback. He emphasized his commitments to reforms aimed at the middle class. His strong success during the campaigning found him a new nickname - the “Comeback Kid”. President Clinton took the oath of office again on January 20, 1997.
