President Eisenhower in His Second Inaugural Parade

President Dwight Eisenhower parades through the streets of Washington, D.C., on January 21, 1957, celebrating his second inauguration. President Eisenhower took the oath on January 20, but since it was a Sunday, he postponed the parade until the next day. Around 750,000 spectators watched the parade which featured almost 12,000 servicemen and more than 50 marching bands.
