President Johnson Votes

President Lyndon Johnson returned to his home state of Texas on November 3, 1964, to cast his vote in the presidential election. Johnson defeated opponent Barry Goldwater with a 10-to-1 victory in the Electoral College. This landslide gave Johnson and his administration the opportunity to pass his domestic  agenda known as the Great Society.
