President Wilson with Princeton Students

In 1913, Woodrow Wilson, center, then governor of New Jersey, visited students at his alma mater, Princeton University.  From 1902 to 1910, Wilson served as president of Princeton and built a reputation as a strong reformer by transforming the teaching methods and curriculum.  President Wilson's background in academia later earned him the nickname “Schoolmaster in Politics.”
