Roosevelt with Generals

On December 8, 1943, President Roosevelt, sitting front of jeep, met with General Dwight Eisenhower, sitting back of jeep, Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe, and General George S. Patton, standing back left. Under the command of General Eisenhower, the Allied forces landed in northwestern France on June 6, 1944, in what became known as “D-Day.”
