President John F. Kennedy, right, stands with his brothers Attorney General Robert Kennedy, left, and Senator Edward Kennedy, center, outside the Oval Office in August 1963. Some people criticized President Kennedy for appointing his relatively inexperienced brother, Robert, as Attorney General, and he responded with humor saying it’d be good for Robert to “get some legal experience” before getting a job.
