Gallup Polls
This website provides free access to some of the latest Gallup Poll articles. A subscription is required to access the Gallup Brain, an archive of more than 70 years of the firm's polling data.
Harris Polls

This website contains a wide selection of poll reports and other poll-related material. Rasmussen is "an electronic publishing firm specializing in the collection, publication, and distribution of public opinion polling information." Subscribers have access to additional polling content.

Nonprofit Polls
Center for Deliberative Democracy
The Center uses an innovative method known as "deliberative polling" to assess public opinion. Professor James Fishkin of Stanford University, who originated the idea of "deliberative polling," directs the Center.
Kaiser Family Foundation
The Foundation "runs the largest public opinion research program in health." The website includes a fully searchable archive containing 65 years worth of survey questions on health issues.
National Opinion Research Center (NORC)
NORC has been conducting survey research since 1941. The website currently lists 105 research studies in a variety of fields. Access to information varies by the study.
Pew Research Center for the People and the Press
Pew studies attitudes towards the press, politics, and public opinion. The website features access to recent commentary on polls, summaries of survey reports going back to 1987, and survey data going back to 1997.
Public Agenda
Founded in 1975 by Daniel Yankovich and Cyrus Vance, Public Agenda's mission is to provide nonpartisan public opinion information to leaders and educate people about policy issues. The website contains an archive of Research Studies going back to 1983.

This website provides access to the data from National Election Studies, which have been conducted regularly since 1948.

Gallup Brain (subscription required)
This website is a searchable database of Gallup Polls since 1935. It also contains poll-analysis articles going back to 1997.
Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) (subscription required)
Established in 1962, ICPSR is one of the largest archives of social science data.
Odum Institute for Research in Social Science
The Odum Institute "maintains one of the oldest and largest catalogs of machine-readable data in the U.S. It has an extensive collection of U.S. Census data, including one of the most complete holdings for 1970 Census files. Other major sources of data include the North Carolina State Data Center, which distributes North Carolina census data; and the National Center for Health Statistics."
Polling the Nations
Polling the Nations is a compilation of more than 14,000 surveys conducted by over 1000 polling organizations in the United States and 100 other countries from 1986 to the present time. The data base includes major news media polls, Harris Polls, and international polls. The website also includes a selection of short essays on polling and a brief bibliography of polling books.
Roper Center for Public Opinion Research (subscription required)
The Center houses one of the world's largest collections of polling data. Its iPOll data bank contains half a million questions.
Survey Research Center (University of Michigan)

Marist Poll
Founded in 1978, the Marist Institute for Public Opinion (MIPO) is a survey research center at Marist College in New York.
Mason-Dixon Polling and Research
Mason-Dixon is an independent polling firm that conducts public policy and political polling and research for news media, advocacy groups, trade associations, public relations and marketing professionals.
Quinnipiac Polling Institute
The Quinnipiac University Poll regularly surveys residents in Connecticut, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and nationwide about political races, state and national elections, and policy issues.
Professional Organizations
American Association of Public Opinion Researchers (AAPOR)
AAPOR is the leading professional organization of public opinion and survey research professionals in the U.S., with members from academia, media, government, the non-profit sector and private industry.
National Council of Public Polls (NCPP)
The NCPP is an association of polling organizations established in 1969. Its mission is to "set the highest professional standards for public opinion pollsters, and to advance the understanding, among politicians, the media and general public, of how polls are conducted and how to interpret poll results."
