Patrick Keefe is a Program Officer and Fellow at the Century Foundation, a nonprofit public policy research institution committed to the idea that amix of effective government, open democracy, and free markets is the best solution to challenges facing the U.S. The author of Chatter: Dispatches from the Secret World of Global Eavesdropping (Random House, 2005), he is a project leader at the World Policy Institute and a fellow of the New York Institute for the Humanities. Keefe is a frequent commentator on intelligence and international security issues, and his articles have appeared in publications including The New York Review of Books, the New Yorker, and the New York Times.
