Description: Since September 2000, Adeed Dawisha has been professor of Political Science at Miami University, Ohio, and from 1985 to 2000, he was professor of Government and Politics at George Mason University. Born in Baghdad, Iraq, and educated in England, Dr. Dawisha received his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics. From 1979 to 1985, he was the deputy director of studies at the Royal Institute of International Affairs.
