MICHAEL KREPON is co-founder of the Henry L. Stimson Center, where he served as President and CEO (1989–2000). He is also the Diplomat Scholar at U.Va.'s Politics Department. Krepon's  numerous books include Better Safe Than Sorry: The Ironies of Living with the Bomb (Stanford, 2008) and Cooperative Threat Reduction, Missile Defense, and the Nuclear Future (Palgrave Macmillan, 2005). Krepon has worked for President Jimmy Carter, on Capitol Hill, and at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
