Associated with the U.S. Department of Labor (Wage and Hour Division). Served the Consumers Cooperative Association (later Farmland Industries). In 1953, transferred to the Cooperative League of the U.S.A., where he was director of information and editor of the Cooperative News Service. In 1963, transferred to Washington, D.C., as the public relations director of the League. Beginning in 1966 and through the time of the interview in 1968, he worked for the Department of Agriculture as Administrator of Farmer Cooperative Service.
