Description: Associated with the Peace Corps since the early 1960s, when he served three years as deputy to Wilson McCarthy who headed the Peace Corps Congressional Relations Department. Worked an as advance man for Johnson?s 1964 campaign. Afterward, he served as principal aide to Press Secretary Bill Moyers beginning in 1965 and then as director of scheduling and advance in the Vice Presidential Campaign Staff of U.S. Senator Edward S. Muskie.
