Description
President of Americans for Democratic Action. A strong supporter of Johnson, Roche left the organization after it denounced the war in Vietnam. Roche began to work for the Administration in 1965, plagued by unsuccessful attempts to bridge the gap between the Administration and the academic community. While in the White House, Roche served primarily as a speech writer.
