Personal secretary to Franklin D. Roosevelt (F.D.R.) during his years as governor of New York and as U.S. president. Following Roosevelt's death, Tully was executive secretary of the F.D.R. Foundation and worked from 1955 to 1965 for the Senate Democratic Policy Committee. Grace Tully also worked for the Johnsons. She discusses her memories of their earlier days, partly in the context of Franklin D. Roosevelt?s life and, partly, in her personal and professional association with them.
