Francis Fukuyama is the Bernard L. Schwartz Professor of International Political Economy at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of John Hopkins University and director of the SAIS International Development program. Fukuyama has written many books on issues relating to political and economic development. He discussed his most recent book, America at the Crossroads: Democracy, Power and the Neoconservative Legacy (2006), a post-neoconservative look at President George W. Bush's foreign policy and at the varying strands of neoconservative thought since the 1930s. Fukuyama proposes a post-Bush foreign policy that he calls "realistic Wilsonianism."
