Theodore C. “Ted” Sorensen was a speechwriter and special assistant to the president from 1961 to 1964; author of a best-selling biography of John F. Kennedy in 1965; an adviser for Robert F. Kennedy's presidential campaign in 1968; and an attorney and senior counsel at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton, and Garrison in New York City from 1966 until his death in 2010.
