Adam Nagourney, chief political correspondent for the New York Times, has covered politics since 1977. Following stints at the Gannett Westchester Newspapers, the New York Daily News, and USA Today, Nagourney joined the Times in 1996 and has covered presidential campaigns and state and national campaigns since. He is also the author of Out for Good, the history of the modern gay rights movement.
