Jeffrey A. Engel, is director of the Center for Presidential History at Southern Methodist University. His new book, When the World Seemed New, is based on access to previously classified documents and interviews with all the principals. It is an account of President George H. W. Bush during a pivotal time in U.S. history and setting the stage for the twenty-first century.
A book signing will follow his appearance.
