In their new book, Kurt Campbell and Michael E. O'Hanlon argue that national security has become a "wedge" issue that can make or break an election, and explain how the Democrats have lost credibility on issues of security and foreign policy. Campbell is senior vice president and director of the international security program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
