From 1999 to 2002, Eleanor Hill was a partner at the law firm of King & Spalding in Washington, D.C. In June 2002 she was asked by the House and Senate Intelligence Committees to become the staff director of the Joint Congressional Inquiry. In that position she led the bicameral, bipartisan congressional investigation of the September 11th attacks as well as the preparation of last fall?s congressional hearings and the final report generated by that investigation. She continues to assist the committees in the ongoing declassification review of the final report, which focuses on the performance of the intelligence community with regard to those attacks.
