Brian Balogh is associate professor in the Department of History at the University of Virginia and co-director, along with Sidney Milkis, of the Miller Center's American Political Development Program. Before coming to U.Va., he taught history at Harvard University. Trained as a historian at The Johns Hopkins University, Mr. Balogh's specialties are twentieth-century American history, political history, history of science and technology, and environmental history.
