Tim Naftali who is an associate professor and director of the Miller Center's Presidential Recordings Project and Kremlin Decision-Making Project, was a member of the U.S. delegation at the 40th anniversary of the Cuban Missile conference hosted by President Fidel Castro in Havana. The talk promises to be both a travelogue and an exploration of new insights on the missile crisis and the state of Cuba today. Mr. Naftali regularly reviews books on espionage and counterespionage for the New York Times and other newspapers. He is also the co-author, with Aleksandr Fursenko, of One Hell of a Gamble: Khrushchev, Castro & Kennedy 1958-1964.
