Event Details
Mark Williams is the Ward K. Ensminger Distinguished Professor of Geriatric Medicine and chief of the Division of General Medicine and Geriatrics in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia. This forum invites a more realistic portrait of aging and old age in contemporary society. The discussion confronts directly the mistaken belief that all people age similarly. Such understanding will bring recognition of the many ways our later years can be more a culmination of life than a prelude to death. This is the first in a Miller Center series on health issues and policy.
