Sylvia Mathews, President of the Global Development Program for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and a member of the Governing Council of the Miller Center of Public Affairs. She served as deputy chief of staff to President Clinton and was chief of staff to treasury secretary Robert Rubin. She is a graduate of Harvard University and is a Rhodes Scholar. Her Forum is co-hosted by Women United in Philanthropy, a Charlottesville-based organization.
