ELLIOTT ABRAMS is a senior fellow for Middle Eastern studies at the Council on Foreign Relations. He served as deputy assistant to the president and deputy national security advisor in President George W. Bush’s administration. In addition, Abrams spent eight years in the State Department during the Reagan Administration. In 1988, he received the Secretary of State's Distinguished Service Award. His books include “Undue Process,” “Security and Sacrifice,” and “Faith or Fear: How Jews Can Survive in a Christian America.” Abrams has appeared on “Meet The Press,” “Face The Nation,” and “Nightline.”
