Thomas F. “Mack” McLarty, III, has had a distinguished record of public service and acted in various roles for Presidents Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Jimmy Carter. As President Clinton’s White House chief of staff from 1993 to 1994, McLarty helped enact the North American Free Trade Agreement and the Family and Medical Leave Law. McLarty also served as a counselor to President Clinton and advised the President on international and domestic issues. President Bush appointed McLarty to the National Petroleum Council and the Council on Environmental Quality. McLarty is a board member of the Bush Clinton Katrina Fund, the Council of the Americas, and the Center of the Study of the Presidency. He also serves as a senior international fellow at the US Chamber of Commerce. Currently, McLarty is chairman of McLarty Associates, an international strategic advisory firm.
