Timothy Naftali is a clinical associate professor of history and public service and co-director of New York University’s Center for the United States and the Cold War. He writes on national security and intelligence policy, international history, and presidential history. He has authored and co-authored many books and articles, including Khrushchev’s Cold War: The Inside Story of An American Adversary, the 2007 winner of the Duke of Westminster’s Medal for Military Literature, and Blind Spot: The Secret History of American Counterterrorism.
