C. Douglas “Doug” Dillon was U.S. ambassador to France from March 1953 to January 1957; U.S. under secretary of state for economic affairs from July 1958 to June 1959; U.S. under secretary of state from June 1959 to January 1961; and U.S. secretary of the treasury from January 1961 to April 1965.
