Event Details
Will structural changes in the intelligence institutions make the United States safer? Fred Hitz, former inspector general of the CIA and former legislative counsel to the Director of Central Intelligence, argues that the United States needs to vastly increase its knowledge of foreign languages, cultures, and history to build foundations for more effective intelligence gathering and analysis. Hitz, a graduate of Princeton and of Harvard Law School, teaches in the Department of Politics at the University of Virginia.This special Forum is co-hosted by the Thomas Jefferson Area United Way.
