Matthew Holden is Professor Emeritus of Politics at the University of Virginia. He was president of the American Political Science Association from 1998 to 1999 and held policy-level positions during the Carter administration. He is the author and editor of numerous books, including Continuity and Disruption: Essays in Public Administration, which won the National Conference of Black Political Scientists Outstanding Book Award.
