Eric Rauchway, Professor of History, University of California at Davis

Eric Rauchway is the author of Murdering McKinley: The Making of Theodore Roosevelt's America (2003) and The Refuge of Affections: Family and American Reform Politics, 1900-1920 (2001). His current project is entitled The Gift Outright: The Culture and Politics of an American Economy, 1867-1937. Professor Rauchway's areas of focus include the Progressive Era, US political, cultural and intellectual history, and the American rise to world power during the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century.
