Paul Freedman is assistant professor in the Department of Politics at the University of Virginia, where he teaches courses in public opinion, media and politics, and voting behavior. Freedman holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. His work has appeared in Public Opinion Quarterly, the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, and Campaigns and Elections. Freedman also serves as an election analyst for ABC News and as director for the Project on Campaign Conduct at the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at U.Va. He is currently working on a book about campaign advertising and American democracy.
