Matthew Holden has been the Henry L. and Grace m. Doherty Professor of Politics at the University of Virginia. Holden was president of the American Political Science from 1998 to 1999 and is the author or editor of numerous books, including "Continuity and Disruption: Essays in Public Administration," which won the National Conference of Black Political Scientists Outstanding Book Award Association. Holden has held policy-level positions in the Carter administration.
