Sara Seims is the president of the Alan Guttmacher Institute. Previously, she was associate director of Population Sciences at the Rockefeller Foundation in New York where she contributed to the expansion of international collaboration in the field of reproductive health, promoting dialogue between developed and developing nations on both programmatic and policy issues relating to women?s and reproductive health. For three consecutive years she was named by Earth Times as one of the key actors in supporting sustainable development.Susan Cohen is director of Government Affairs in the Washington office of the Alan Guttmacher Institute. She is responsible for coordinating the political and policy development aspects of the Institute?s Washington-based activities. She is in regular communication with the U.S. Congress and the executive branch about policy and program implications of legislative and administrative decision making for reproductive health. Kathryn Parker will chair the meeting and introduce the speakers. Ms. Parker is a former president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Blue Ridge.
