Paul Kowert is associate professor of international relations at Florida International University. He is the author of several studies of presidential personality, group dynamics, and foreign policy decision making, including most recently Groupthink or Deadlock: When Do Leaders Learn from Advisors? He also specializes in problems of national identity and constructivist international relations theory and was co-editor, with Vendulka Kubalkova and Nicholas Onuf, of International Relations in a Constructed World.
