Retired Colonel Patrick Lang, who is a graduate and associate at Virginia Military Institute and professor at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point is a former special forces soldier who was the chief of human intelligence for the Pentagon's Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in the 1990s and Defense Intelligence Officer for Middle East, South Asia, and terrorism. He was a regular visitor to Iraq in the 1980s, when he was the DIA's chief of Middle East intelligence. He has appeared regularly on leading talk shows such as The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer during the war with Iraq. He will discuss the war and its aftermath. Ambassador Wilson is CEO of JCWilson International Ventures Corporation, a firm specializing in strategic management and international business development. He has served as special assistant to the president and senior director for African Affairs at the National Security Council (June 1997 until July 1998) and as the U.S. ambassador to the Gabonese Republic and to the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe (1992 to 1995). From 1988 to 1991, he served in Baghdad, Iraq as deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy.
