Second Morning Session: 11:00 a.m.'12:15 p.m. Topic: Reagan and Foreign Policy Participants: Kenneth Adelman, Kiron Skinner, Peter Wallison Kenneth Adelman is national editor for Washingtonian magazine, co-host of TechCentralStation.com, and a member of the Defense Policy Board. He served as deputy permanent representative to the United Nations from 1981 to 1983, and as director of the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency from 1983 to 1987. He is the author or co-author of five books, including The Great Universal Embrace: Arms Summitry'A Skeptic's Account. Kiron K. Skinner is an assistant professor of history and political science at Carnegie Mellon University, and a research fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. She is the author, co-author, or editor of five books, including Reagan, In His Own Hand, Reagan: A Life in Letters, and Reagan's Path toVictory: The Shaping of Ronald Reagan's Vision. Dr. Skinner is currently working on a book with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and NYU professor Bruce Bueno de Mesquita which analyzes the end of the Cold War. Peter Wallison is resident fellow and co-director of the financial market deregulation program at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research. He served as general counsel of the Treasury Department from 1981 to 1985, and as White House counsel to President Reagan from 1986 to 1987. He is the author, co-author, or editor of six books, including Ronald Reagan: The Power of Conviction and the Success of His Presidency.
