Joseph Margulies, who teaches law at Northwestern University, was the lead counsel representing Guantanamo detainees in Rasul v. Bush, decided by the United States Supreme Court in 2004. The New York Times called Guantanamo and the Abuse of Presidential Power the "best account yet" of "a human rights debacle."
