Gerald Felix Warburg, a managing partner since 1990 at Cassidy & Associates, the largest government relations firm in Washington, D.C., is the author of Conflict and Consensus: The Struggle Between the President and Congress to Shape American Foreign Policy (Ballinger, 1989). A graduate of Hampshire College with a master's degree in political science and international relations from Stanford University, he served as chief advisor to Senate Democratic Whip Alan Cranston on intelligence, international security and trade issues from 1979 to 1989. He is also the author of the novel The Mandarin Club (Bancroft, 2006), a "high drama of insider politics, CIA intrigues, and a frightening scenario of conflict between China and Taiwan" that has been praised by presidential daughter and granddaughter-in-law Julie Nixon Eisenhower as "addictive reading."
