ALAN BJERGA, the president of the National Press Club and journalist for Bloomberg News covering agricultural policy, will consider the implications of food policy. In 2009, Bjerga won numerous awards for his work in Ethiopia on famine and U.S. food aid. Previously, he worked in the Knight-Ridder Washington bureau, where he won the North America Agricultural Journalists’ top writing award in 2005.
