Stephanie van Hover serves as chair of the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education at the Curry School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia. A former middle-school teacher, she advises and teaches students in the secondary social studies teacher education program at the Curry School. Her research explores teaching and learning history in standards based settings, with a focus on how assessment influences student learning experiences.
